This privacy policy describes how OPCOD collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with the mobile application NoisyWorld.

NoisyWorld is an audio dosimetry tool that allows users to measure the sound pressure level (in decibels) detected by their device, in order to estimate their daily sound exposure.

By downloading or using NoisyWorld, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Personal Data Collected

NoisyWorld collects the following data:

Sound level (dB) Sound pressure level measured by the device's microphone, in decibels (dB). Each measurement is timestamped.
Timestamp Date and time of each sound level measurement.
Important: NoisyWorld does not use the microphone for audio recording purposes. Only numeric decibel values are processed.

Legal basis: The processing of your data is based on your consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), manifested by the first use of the application after accepting this policy.

Purpose: Sound level data is collected for the sole purpose of:

4. Data Storage and Location

Measurement data is stored locally on the user's device, within the application's memory.

Data may be exported upon user request from the application to a file stored on the user's device. The user remains solely responsible for the use of this exported file.

Currently, all measurement data remains stored exclusively on the user's device and is never transmitted to external servers.

In the event that a future update introduces features requiring data transmission (e.g., cloud backup or cross-device synchronization), this policy will be updated accordingly. Such features will be introduced only with explicit, separate user consent prior to any data transmission, in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

5. Data Sharing

NoisyWorld does not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to any third parties.

No third-party SDKs are integrated into the NoisyWorld application.

6. Data Security

Data stored on the device is protected by the security mechanisms built into the Android operating system (app permissions, sandboxing).

Data export from the application is performed to a local file under the user's control.

While NoisyWorld makes every effort to protect your data, no electronic transmission or storage method can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for the security of their own device.

NoisyWorld does not use cookies, web beacons, or any tracking technologies.

9. Data Retention

Measurement data is retained for as long as the application is installed on the user's device.

Users may delete all their data at any time by uninstalling the application or using the history deletion function available within the application.

10. Minors

The application is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. OPCOD does not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

11. Third-Party Links

NoisyWorld may contain links to external websites. OPCOD does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices of such sites. We encourage you to review their own policies before using them.

12. Changes to This Policy

OPCOD may update this privacy policy periodically.

In the event of a substantial change, users will be informed by a notice published directly within the application upon update, together with the update date at the top of this document.
